Chilli Chicken

Andhra chilli chicken-spicy .

Ingredients

  1. Chicken --- 1 Kg
  2. Green Chillies --- 22 nos*)
  3. Turmeric powder --- ¼ tsp
  4. Onion --- 4 Medium sized
  5. Ginger Garlic paste --- 2 tbls (or 1":6 cloves)
  6. Garam Masala --- 1 tsp
  7. Lime --- ½ piece
  8. Corn starch--- 1 tbls
  9. Salt --- to taste 1½ tbsp

Method

  1. Heat up 2 tbls oil in the pressure cooker. Add the sliced onions and saute in low flame till it become soft.
  2. Add Green Chillies (slit), turmeric owder, ginger garlic paste and saute for 3-4 minutes
  3. Add chicken , 1/4 tbls salt , mix everything well and pressure cook for 10-15 minutes.
  4. Mix cornstarch with 1/4 cup water and add slowly till the gravy thickens a little.
  5. Add salt if needed

* Vary the number of green chillies to control the spice level. Reduce the quatity to half if very hot chillies are used.
